Take down the hierarchy? When I started to think of how hierarchies are harmful, I had to also think about how they were beneficial. There’s a threshold for both. So if imagine outside of the hierarchy, I began to imagine theories like Maslow’s Hierarchy instead as Maslow’s Rings. At the center, you are self-actualized. On the outside, is your physiological experience. Kind of makes sense! Right?
